

Scholarship Applications Are Now Open!

Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Hutchinson Bell Scholarship Programs
Summary: The RMCHB has established three scholarships designed to provide financial assistance to students desiring to attend Florida College who meet the following criteria

Purpose: This scholarship is for those first-year applicants who face financial hardship in terms of being able to pay to attend Florida College. In addition, applicants must demonstrate a history of academic excellence and community service and involvement. Awards are within the sole discretion of the Scholarship Committee.

Deadline for submission: May 1 before applicant’s first year at Florida College.

In order to protect personal privacy, “financial need” must be established by a letter from the Florida College Admissions or Financial Aid Departments.

The applicant must be accepted by Florida College.

The applicant or the applicant’s family must have been a member of the RMCHB or attended Colorado Camp for no less than two years. If the applicant recently moved to Colorado, consideration will be given to previous Hutchinson Bell membership status in other locations.

The applicant must have an unweighted GPA (high school) of no less than 3.0 in order to apply. Any awards will be paid directly to Florida College and will be split over two semesters. The recipient must maintain a 3.0 GPA for the 1st semester at Florida College in order to receive the second half of the scholarship.

Awards will be announced no later than June 1.

Purpose: This scholarship is a traditional Hutchinson Bell scholarship recognizing the first-year applicant’s involvement in the local chapter. Awards are within the sole discretion of the Scholarship Committee.

Deadline for submission: June 1 before the applicant’s first year at Florida College. Awards will be announced at or around the time of Colorado Camp.

The applicant must be accepted by Florida College.

The recipient must maintain a 2.0 GPA for the first semester at Florida College in order to receive the second half of the scholarship.

The amount of the award: Up to $1,000, depending upon length of RMCHB membership.

In addition, applicants must demonstrate a history of academic excellence and community service and involvement. Awards are within the sole discretion of the Scholarship Committee.

Deadline for submission: April 1 before the applicant’s second, third or fourth year at Florida College.
